HerdStreet LLC ("HerdStreet," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website (herdstreet.com), mobile application, collar devices, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
When you activate a HerdStreet collar device, the collar automatically collects and transmits data including:
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
HerdStreet does not sell your personal information. We do not share your ranch identity or individual animal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
We use third-party service providers to help us operate our Services, including cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and customer support. These providers only access your data as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. HerdStreet does not store, process, or have access to your credit card numbers or bank account details. Your payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). We receive only confirmation of payment, transaction amounts, and the last four digits of your payment method for order management purposes.
We may use and share anonymized, de-identified, or aggregated data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you or your ranch for research, analytical, or commercial purposes. This may include sharing anonymized behavioral datasets with universities, research institutions, or other organizations for the purpose of advancing livestock health research, veterinary science, or agricultural innovation. Any such sharing will involve data from which all personally identifiable information, ranch identity, and specific animal identifiers have been removed.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of HerdStreet, our users, or the public.
If HerdStreet is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
HerdStreet uses de-identified collar sensor data from across our user base to train and improve machine learning models that power health alerts, behavioral classification, breeding detection, and other features. This means that data patterns from your collars — stripped of any identifying information about you or your ranch — contribute to making the service better for all HerdStreet users. The more collars in the field, the smarter the system becomes for everyone.
When you use HerdHelp, our AI-powered livestock health assistant, your questions, descriptions, and the AI-generated responses are stored and used to improve the accuracy of our health recommendations and machine learning models. Conversations are associated with your account for the purpose of providing you with personalized recommendations based on your collar data. De-identified conversation data (with your personal and ranch identity removed) may be used to train and improve our AI models.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services. If you cancel your account, certain data may be retained in de-identified form for model training and product improvement purposes, as it will no longer be linked to your identity. We may also retain data as required by law.
We take the security of your data seriously. We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and secure authentication. Collar data is transmitted using encrypted cellular connections and stored on secure servers located in the United States.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
